On Sunday, November 24th at 12 h, as part of the Femme In Arts Festival, outside the Lo Pati Art Center, ALMINAL: Body, Voice, and Memory was presented. This performance was conceived by artists participating in the Terres de l’Ebre edition of the DAR (Dones Artistes Rurales) Project: Antònia Ripoll, Gemma Ginovart, and Sarah Misselbrook. Also curated by Clara Albacete, creator and director of DAR, the project featured the participation of the artists involved, as well as invited guests.
The main concept addressed is the transmission of intangible knowledge among women throughout history. The wisdom of the earth is transmitted through natural elements, but in this process, the mechanization of rural areas also takes center stage. Connections and relationships are established, and the voices of women who, silenced and invisible for many years, need to hear their own inner voices. This unrecognized and unrecorded female legacy needs to be valued and made visible.
