The DAR Project (Dones Artistes Rurals / Rural Women Artists), dedicated to promoting the professional development of rural women visual artists, announces the selected participants for its new simultaneous editions focused on the provinces of Cuenca, Guadalajara, and Albacete.

Thanks to European funding from the Next Generation EU programme, the project has continued to grow since its creation in 2020, becoming a benchmark in Castilla-La Mancha after being selected by the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport as part of the 2024 call for cultural accelerator initiatives. DAR has stood out for its commitment to the professional development and artistic promotion of women living in rural areas.

For this call, the group of selected artists from North Cuenca + Guadalajara includes Ana María González, María Huerta, Teresa Labajos, Nerea Moreno, Nuria Tornero, and Laura Yubero.

The South Cuenca + Albacete edition will feature Nita Amores, Isabel Gómez, Raquel Martín, Noemí Montero, Adriana Naranjo, Ainara Seclen, and Sandra Torres.

With the publication of this resolution, the selected artists begin a new phase focused on specialised training to strengthen their artistic careers, improve the visibility of their work, and develop collaborative networks.

The DAR Project thus reinforces its goal of supporting culture as a key driver of social and economic development, contributing to the revitalisation and diversification of the artistic ecosystem in the rural areas of Castilla-La Mancha.
